Construction update: Nov 25, 2012

Second phase almost complete! On the pictures below, it is possible to see that the walls are all ready, and so are the plumbing (water and sewer), the frames, including some windows that have been fixed (the others were achieved), and the structure for the roof has been prepared for receiving the wood beams. It is also possible to see that a great part of the material has been achieved, including for the third phase. The last picture shows the sign saying that the school is open for registration for 2013, including the 4rth grade! This will only be possible because the new room will be ready for the kids next year!

Starting to buy building stuff

The money has finally reached the project's account, and we started to buy the material. Soon we will be publishing the receipts.

Preparing to start up

This week we received great news: our sponsor informs that the money for the first phase was credited to the project's account. While we wait for the money to arrive, we are comparing prices for the material to be used in the construction.

Project He Space Children's Foundation Brazil 2012 will finance the construction of a school classroom at Estação Vida, a school held by an NGO that provides education for children in need. Above 80% of the students live in a neighbour nursing home, in the city of Águas Lindas de Goiás, in the center region of Brazil. This home houses children who are taken from their families by the Justice, due to danger exposure (violence, abuse, abandon, etc). The home is exclusively supported by donators, as it does not receive any kind of government support.
